An entire subculture has developed around the abduction phenomenon, with support groups and a detailed mythos including various alien species (Greys, Reptilians, Nordics and so on) and their specific motives. Abductees or believers explain the lack of greater awareness of alien abduction as the result of either extraterrestrial or governmental interest in cover-up.
Parallels between aliens and fairies
Aliens and fairies come into homes and temporarily remove young children, leaving their distraught parents paralyzed and helpless. In cases where a parent has been able to protest, the aliens insist that “The children belong to us.”
Hence the theory that abduction would not be performed by aliens from outter space but from creatures living on Earth or in other dimensions. In this view the alleged correlation of abductions and UFO sightings is not so obvious
Most UFO sightings would occur late at night and, interestingly, during the period of Sunday through Thursday; the exact times that most people are not outside. Secrecy is essential for these physical craft as they can be seen and possibly touched if detected.
Hauntings, abductions seemingly occur as often in rural as urban areas and at random times which suggests secrecy is not paramount. While many investigators have documented the relationship between abductions and paranormal activity, this is compelling proof that abductions may have nothing to do with space kidnappings.
