Alien Conspiracy

Various urban myths and conspiracy theories have been developed around the UFO and Extraterrestrial phenomenon. It is alleged that the United States government and probably other world governments conspire with extraterrestrials involved in the abduction and manipulation of citizens.

Abudctees, contactees, channelers, pseudo insiders (f.i some ex-employees of NASA, The US Air Force or the Pentagon)  and pseudo prophets are the people behind these stories, often contradicting each other. 

The phenomenal success of The X Files, which uses many elements of the UFO conspiracy in its story lines, is testament to the popularity of such ideas. It's tripartite credo; "I want to Believe; The Truth is out there; Trust No One" is a concise expression of the hope, faith and paranoia that drive the popular UFO industry.
